David S. Black is vice president and controller for the Babcock and Wilcox Company (B&W), and began his career with the company in 1991 with BWX Technologies, Inc., a subsidiary of B&W. From 1987 to 1991, he served as controller for Liberty University. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA), he is a graduate of Liberty University and holds a master’s degree from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, N.Y. Black is a Bedford County School Board member and serves on the board of the Central Virginia Governor’s School, Amazement Square and the Academy of Fine Arts.
