The chairman of the board of C. B. Fleet Co., William R. Chambers joined the Centra Health board of directors in 2002.

He is a graduate of the University of Virginia and holds a master's of business administration degree from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

He also is a member of the central Virginia board of SunTrust Bank, Pastoral Counseling Services of Central Virginia and the Lynchburg Neighborhood Investment Fund.
