The Rev. Coleman is finance officer for Southside Community Services Board in South Boston and has been pastor of Cross Road Baptist Church in Evington since 1979. He previously served as business auditor for the Campbell County Commissioner of Revenue Office and as director of human resources for Westminster Canterbury. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and is a graduate of Lynchburg College and Central Virginia Community College. He also is a member of the board of directors of the Beacon Credit Union
