Vol. 19 No. 3 August 2005

Dear Reader,

I am pleased to announce that Kara Mayer Rooney, M.D., has joined Centra Health's Mental Health Services in the practice of child and adolescent psychiatry. She will work with clients at both Piedmont Psychiatric Center and Bridges Treat-ment Center.

A shortage of child and adolescent psychiatrists has caused us to make what we hope are temporary staff changes.

J. Gregory Fisher, M.D., will work full-time as medical director of the child and adolescent psychiatry inpatient unit at Virginia Baptist Hospital, and John Hendrickson, M.D., is needed full-time as medical director of Bridges Treatment Center. Neither will see outpatients at Piedmont Psychiatric Center. Preston Bond, M.D., will continue to see patients at Piedmont Psychiatric Center and Bridges Treatment Center.

I am also pleased to announce that George W. Luedke, M.D., adult psychiatrist, will be joining Pied-mont Psychiatric Center in Sept-ember after more than two decades with the Lewis-Gale Clinic.

To your health,

William W. Semones
Vice President
