Professional workshops slated

A day-long professional program, "Self Abusive Behaviors of Children & Teens," will be presented Friday, September 30, in Lynchburg.
The facilitator, Kaye Randall, LMSW, is co-author of See My Pain: Creative Strategies and Activities for Helping Young People Who Self Injure.

The Suicide Prevention Coalition is sponsoring a half-day professional workshop Friday, October 14, featuring Yeates Conwell, M.D., professor of psychiatry and co-director of the Center of the Study and Prevention of Suicide at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Conwell will discuss "Preventing Suicide in Later Life." CEUs and contact hours will be awarded.
