Graduation exercises for Centra Lynchburg General Hospital’s School of Nursing were held recently at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Lynchburg.

MeLea Almond, Sonya Lipscomb and Jennifer Stowers received the Academic Excellence Award given by the faculty of the School of Nursing to the student who earned the highest academic average during the nursing program.
Audrey Campbell received the Faculty Award for outstanding achievement while a nursing student. Criteria for selection of the student include: attendance, support of faculty and school, clinical competence, communication/relationship behaviors, critical thinking/problem-solving skills, culturally-sensitive nursing care, accountability and professionalism.
