Influenza Notice for Visiting Hospitals

Flu is in our community, and we need your help to protect our patients and visitors.  DO NOT visit any patients if you have flu symptoms, or have been in contact with someone who has had flu symptoms within the last seven days.

You may have the flu if you have some or all of these symptoms:

  • fever *
  • cough
  • sore throat
  • runny or stuffy nose
  • body aches
  • headache
  • chills
  • fatigue
  • sometimes diarrhea and vomiting

*It’s important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever.

Because influenza is particularly prevalent in children, any child under 18 will NOT be allowed to visit any patient.

Additionally, patients on flu precautions will be limited to one visitor at a time, and those visitors will be expected to wear a mask while in the room.

Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
