Dr. Brady is a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist who joined the medical staff in 2008 after completing her residency in Radiation Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia. Prior to medicine, she attended the University of Kentucky and graduated Phi Beta Kappa in the Honors Program with a degree in Economics and French. She worked in New York for General Electric before deciding to pursue her interest in medicine. Her pre-medical studies were done at Columbia University in New York and then she attended Baylor College of Medicine in Houston were she received her medical degree.

During her transition from the New York business world to medical school, she spent a year volunteering with AmeriCorps performing outreach for the WIC program in impoverished areas around Houston Her ability to communicate with her patients is matched only by her technical skills in the clinic. She has specialized training in emerging technologic advances in radiation therapy such as stereotactic radiotherapy techniques and image guided adaptive treatments. She has extensive brachytherapy training in prostate and gynecological malignancies and accelerated partial breast irradiation, working with one of the country’s leading researchers in breast brachytherapy.

One of her clinical interests and past research experiences is in reducing the normal tissue toxicity of radiotherapy. Through her interest in lung cancer, she serves on the Thoracic Cancer Quality Committee. Further interests include CNS tumors (both benign and malignant) using her expertise in technological advances in targeting tumor yet reducing the effects of radiation on normal tissue. Dr. Brady is taking new patients and sees all adult general radiation oncology patients.
