Dr. David C. Cassada was born and raised in southwest Virginia. He attended Washington and Lee University followed by The University of Virginia for Medical School. General Surgery training was completed at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville, followed by Vascular Surgical fellowship at The University of Virginia. He was on the teaching faculty at the University of Tennessee Medical Center at Knoxville as an associate professor before returning to Virginia to practice. Notable achievements include recipient of the Founders Award from the Southern Association for Vascular Surgery and the E.J. Wiley traveling fellowship from the Society for Vascular Surgery. Clinical interests include catheter based and open surgery for peripheral vascular disease, aortic disease, aneurysmal disease, visceral arterial disease and brachiocephalic arterial disorders. Special interests include upper extremity Vascular disorders including thoracic outlet syndrome.
