At Home with Centra

Offering you care in the comfort of your home. Well known for our award-winning hospitals, nationally recognized top cardiac and orthopaedic programs, regional cancer center and the region’s only certified national primary stroke center, our care extends well beyond the walls of our four hospitals.

Through our comprehensive continuum of services, our dedicated team of professionals travel throughout Central Virginia bringing expert healthcare home.  Whether or not you have been hospitalized, services such as Home Health, Hospice and the innovative PACE program help you manage your healthcare needs in the comfort of your own home.

In addition to our "at home" services,  unforeseen significant events may happen such as stroke, brain injury, accidents, serious injury and  unexpected hospitalization.  For those situations that may require intensive rehabilitation, we offer inpatient services  in our Acute Rehabilitation Center at Virginia Baptist Hospital (seek link below).

  • Centra also offers skilled nursing care and rehabilitation in four convenient facilities:  in Amherst,  Fairmont Crossing ;  in Lynchburg,  Guggenheimer and  Summit Health & Rehabilitation and  in Bedford,  Oakwood Health & Rehabilitation
  • As patients recover from injury or illness, they may need to transition to  services such as outpatient rehabilitation which offers physical, occupational and speech therapy .  We have 10 convenient locations to serve you (see link below).

Whatever your needs and goals are —whether you are facing serious illness, recovering from a serious injury or illness, working toward greater independence or seeking help for musculoskeletal pain, sports or orthopaedic injury, foot/ankle problems or pelvic floor disorders  — our experienced  clincians are ready to provide the care you need.
