Amanda graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy. Previously she worked in Centra's inpatient Acute Rehabilitation Unit. Amanda specializes in cancer rehabilitation and neurological disorders including stroke, multiple sclerosis and traumatic brain injury. Her professional interests include assistive technology, gerontology and power mobility. She has expanded her clinical skills through continuing education focusing on spinal cord injuries, splinting and has received her certification in FES technologies including Bioness hand rehabilitation system and Restorative Therapies arm system. Amanda is a member of both the Virginia Occupational Therapy Association and the American Occupational Therapy Association.
