About Me

Raised in Virginia Beach, Dr. Scanlon-Rowlett received her undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman's College in Lynchburg. She earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk and completed her residency training in family medicine at Centra Lynchburg Family Medicine Residency. She is married to Douglas and has two stepsons. When not working, she enjoys gardening, cooking and reading fiction.

Dr. Scanlon-Rowlett is a very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough doctor who addresses all concerns efficiently. She is very informed about all my medical issues and addresses each with preciseness and patience. I know that I am in good hands with her managing my care. I am quite confident that she is able and capable of handling my care with excellency. Dr. Scanlon sends in refills for maintenance medications in a very timely manner so that I always have the maintenance medications that I need on time. Dr. Scanlon truly cares about her patients and treats them with caring respect and empathy. I am extremely thankful and grateful that she is my doctor.

I have had Dr Nicole Scanlon-Rowlett for over 17 years. My first encounter with Dr Rowlett was on Langhorne Road Family Practice when she first started,I followed her to Altavista and now back to Lynchburg. She is the best doctor that really cares for her patients .. Oh before I forget the employees that work in the Lab was so nice and did the job quickly with the results the same day...
