The Compress & Shock Foundation is dedicated to providing CPR and AED training to ALL members of the public and focuses on eliminating common barriers associated with bystander intervention. Taught by Centra Caregivers and Compress & Shock volunteers, this free class, which is open to the community is 1 hour long and covers CPR and AED education.
Training begins with a short presentation that covers the basics of cardiac arrest and common barriers to bystander intervention. Cardiac arrest affects approximately 350,000 people in the out of hospital setting every year. Without the use of bystander CPR and AED use, there is only a 10% chance of survival.
