Virginia Henderson Scholars Application Summer and Fall Cohorts 2023

The Virginia Henderson Scholars Program (VHSP) is a partnership between the Centra Virginia Henderson Institute of Clinical Excellence and its academic partners. The purpose of the VHSP is to attract and retain the highest quality nursing student and new graduate nurse scholars and foster their development into highly engaged, committed Centra Caregivers who are prepared to give back to the nursing Profession and the community at large. This prestigious program is limited to 30 Scholars annually.

To apply:

Complete the application, in its entirely.
Ensure that the essay is sent to transitiontopracticeteam@centrahealth.com (instructions below).
Ensure that your academic institution sends your transcript to transitiontopracticeteam@centrahealth.com.

If you are selected to move on to Application Phase 2, an interview with the Program Coordinator. Applicants who are accepted into VHSP will be notified of program acceptance via email approximately two weeks prior to program start.
