About Me

Dr. Huffman is board certified in Cardiovascular Disease, Nuclear Cardiology, and Echocardiography. After earning his medical degree from University of Virginia School of Medicine, he received additional training through a residency in Internal Medicine at University of Virginia and a fellowship in Cardiology at Medical University of South Carolina. 

He loves caring for the Lynchburg community because cardiac care and interventions can significantly prolong lives and improve quality of life. When he is not providing care at the Heart and Vascular Institute, he likes to spend his time with family, traveling, and hiking.

Dr. Huffman was very good in explaining everything about my heart attack and the damage that was done to my heart. He answered all my questions and my wife's questions. He also explained the changes that I needed to make in my diet and the exercises I need to do.
