Shelby gained her interest in physical therapy from a personal experience of receiving therapy growing up due to chronic patellar dislocations. She received her bachelor’s degree from James Madison University in Kinesiology with concentration in exercise science in 2016. She obtained her doctoral physical therapy degree from the University of Lynchburg in May of 2019. She enjoys treating a variety of patients from the geriatric population to adolescents with special interest in orthopedics. Post-operative, sport related injuries, shoulder and knee rehabilitation are at the top of her list. She enjoys staying active by running and lifting weights, going to UVA sporting events, and spending time with friends, family, and her dog Philly.
