EAP

HealthWorks EAP partners with employers to provide a comprehensive program to promote emotional wellness for employees and their families.

Our approach

Ensuring easy and efficient access to professional care is crucial to successful program utilization.

Our licensed providers deliver personalized and compassionate care to clients. HealthWorks EAP offers face-to-face, virtual and telephonic options for the convenience of employees, eliminating any barriers to receiving support. HealthWorks also employs local providers to offer confidential in-person EAP sessions in Central Virginia as well as a robust affiliate network to expand coverage.

In addition, we offer a “warm line” with on-call counselors ready to support employees and families 24/7. We believe that the number of EAP sessions should be determined by an individual plan of care; however, we guarantee coverage of a minimum of 4 EAP sessions, if necessary and appropriate, for problem resolution.

EAP Critical Incident Response, Multi-systemic Resiliency Approach

A critical incident is an unexpected event that triggers strong emotional reactions, like workplace violence or a natural disaster. These incidents can affect employees' performance and well-being. Responding to them is crucial but often overlooked. By providing support and a space for employees to express themselves, leadership can bridge the gap and rebuild trust. A multi-systemic approach involves engaging both leadership and employees to identify tools and coping mechanisms to navigate the aftermath.

This process focuses on restoring a sense of safety and stability, reconnecting individuals and organizations with their strengths. External support, like Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), can further aid in resilience-building through tailored trainings and counseling.
